I remember when the Lord gave this word to me back in November of 2011, He was showing me the resources in the earth as the answer to my prayers for the nations. It is so clear in this telling of creation how the Father had provision already created for man. The provision came through not only the land but the rivers running through garden. I have great faith that many answers to world crisis is in the provision of the Lord already in the land we just need relationship, intimacy with Him to understand how to best utilize what He has given us.

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:8-9)

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Genesis 2:15-17)

PROVISION AND PROTECTION

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)

The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; (Genesis 2:11)

And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. (Genesis 2:12)

And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. (Genesis 2:13)

And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. (Genesis 2:14)

The Father’s plan for His creation is perfect. There is nothing missing and there is nothing broken. From the beginning of the created earth, everything God did was to provide a place of provision and protection for His Beloved. He created it with the full knowledge of everything and never lost hope in the man he created would partner with Him and make the provision and protection multiply and prosper.

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: (Genesis 2:16)

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Genesis 2:17)

He commanded the man with authority and assurance, saying everything you need is here there is nothing you will want for that I haven’t provided and in return all I ask is that you honor me and respect my boundaries.

God created man with a will to choose. Those choices express to God honor, respect and love. We communicate to Him our love every time we choose what respects and honors Him.

And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day (Genesis 3:8)

This garden was the habitation of the Lord. It was where Adam walked with God in the cool of the day. They had unbroken fellowship and communion.

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. (Genesis 2:8)

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:9)

This garden was magnificent. It was staggering, everything in it was perfect, pleasant delightful. It was a safe place, a place of protection in the Glory and Presence of the Father who walked into  the garden and talked with Adam. This is what our hope is anchored in, the day when Jesus returns and the New Jerusalem is opened and the Father sets His throne in earth and we walk and talk with Him in the same way Adam did.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. (Revelation 21:3)

We can enter into that place now in the spirit but there is a day that is coming when all eyes will see and behold God will tabernacle with man. That word tabernacle is skene ( 4633grk) means habitation.

But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. (Genesis 2:6)

In this garden are four rivers that signify the way God provides. Their names are prophetic proclamations of the Father’ provision. The trees, the food is all watered by these rivers that run underground. Beneath the surface is the water that causes a mist to form and waters the earth. It is the genius of a Creator that leaves nothing undone or lacking!

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)

The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; (Genesis 2:11)

The first river is called Pison which is the Hebrew word piyshown (6378heb)which means increase and out of this river comes gold. This river compasses or surrounds the land completely.

If you think about it why would Adam need gold? He is the only one in the earth and there is no market. This is what provision is…it comes before the need. God knew what the future would be and planted right there in the river of increase the provision before there ever was a need.

And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. (Genesis 2:12)

Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its appearance like that of bdellium. (Numbers 11:7)

Out of this gold came a gem called bdellium which was a fragrant smell when burned and is said to have the appearance of manna. It came from the sap of the trees and formed what some scholars called pearls. Again we see provision for what Adam didn’t have need of at the time but it was there to bless him and provide pleasure.

There was also the onyx stone which was another precious gem. There I beauty in His provision. The Father plans every infinite detail with so much more in store for us than we can even imagine. Eventually these stones made their way into the priests garment and signified the government of God.

And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. (Genesis 2:13)

The second river is called Gihon which is the Hebrew word Giychown (1521heb) which means  bursting forth. This is the place where the anointing and proclaiming of Solomon took place.

And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. (Genesis 2:14)

The third river is called Hiddekel which is the Hebrew word Chiddeqel (2313heb) which means rapid. And the fourth river is Euphrates which is the Hebrew word Parath (6578heb) fruitfulness

The LORD God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed. (Genesis 2:8)

Then the LORD God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden… (Genesis 2:10)

And the Father took  man and put  him in the garden. That word took means take possession, it is an aggressive leadership and He put nuwach (5117heb)which means settled down to remain to obtain rest, be granted rest. In v8 the Father placed Adam in the garden and that word placed suwm (7760heb) means appointed, set and established, as a sign, to bring to pass.

Adam you don’t need to look anywhere else you can remain here with everything you need provided for, I am going to instruct you, give you strong leadership and you will be filled with peace, pleasure, prosperity and abundance.

Then the LORD God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. (Genesis 2:15)

He then commanded   which is the  word tsavah (6680heb)meaning He gave Adam him a charge and commission to cultivate  and keep the garden. The word cultivate is the Hebrew word abad (5647heb)  meaning to serve others with it, like the service of a priest (serve the Father with it and others) and to keep it  which is the Hebrew word shamar (8104heb) which means to guard, and  protect with covenant, to treasure, keep in memory, charge to watch and wait for

The LORD God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; (Genesis 2:16)

but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” (Genesis 2:17)

The Father had no intention of withholding anything from Adam, but He did set boundaries. He made the tree of the knowledge of good and evil off limits. That word eat  means to destroy, devour, to waste. And the word die  is to die prematurely. The fruit was not the issue because the truth was Adam had communion with the All Knowing All Seeing God who gave Him the wisdom, revelation and understanding that came from His creator. There was not knowledge in that tree, the knowledge was in the creator of the tree, but the respect and honor that came from acknowledging the Father’s desire and choosing to agree with them expressed back to God his love.

This is why God created man, to love God and to choose Him voluntarily. That choice of respect, honor and obedience fulfilled God’s every desire for man. When Adam took his place in the habitation of provision and protection, and he served God and others with that provision, he filled his commission and charge to guard and protect what was ultimately the habitation of God, the Father’s plan was fulfilled.
